The Mountain


Hand drawn illustration of a journey from the top to the bottom (or vice versa) of a mountain!
The Mountain is an A1 high, A4 wide drawing using coloured pencils to depict a scene that starts at the top of a mountain and winds its way down to the bottom where there is a bustling town. The image is very detailed, with lots going on. Here are some areas of interest in the drawing. There is a snowman in red pants flying with the boy from the Snowman across the mountains. There is someone filming themselves going down the slop with a GoPro. There are gondolas that take you up the mountain. There is a large, golden hotel with 3 stars at the top. To the right of the hotel is a goat! As you work down, there are more gondolas and skateboarders and bmxers on a halfpipe. A rain cloud creates a lake which winds down into a river and a waterfall, where someone is down hill mountain biking nearby. The composition changes from big open spaces to tight, cramped buildings that wind down to a busy main road with lots of cars polluting.
